First Bridge and DigiByte Alliance Collaborate for Rosetta Update
We're excited to announce our collaboration with DigiByte Alliance to complete the Rosetta implementation on DigiByte. This will allow for more developer contributions to DigiByte and increase blockchain interoperability.
First Bridge is working with Digibyte Alliance, which facilitates collective development contribution, education, and infrastructure support to the DigiByte open source ecosystem, to complete the Rosetta implementation on DigiByte. In addition, the First Bridge team added the JSDoc into the SDK and finalized the SDK by increasing the test coverage.
Implementing the Rosetta standard on DigiByte serves two major purposes:
• The Rosetta standard will allow for more developer contributions to DigiByte by enabling developers proficient in many coding protocol languages to contribute to DigiByte. The Rosetta foundation layer will serve as a developer "toolbox" that will lower entry barriers and increase developer activity across DigiByte's application layer.
• Adopting the Rosetta specification as a standard for DigiByte will allow interoperability for developers working across other blockchains that have adopted the Rosetta standard to work and collaborate with DigiByte developers.
To accomplish the implementation of Rosetta into DigiByte blockchain, First Bridge added new methods to the SDK and changed the methods that already existed. The team also had to change the supporting library for creating transactions - because there was a need for a more functional module.
First Bridge enhanced existing interfaces to create offline transactions used to compare against blockchain transaction hashes. This was done to help ensure data immutability. Furthermore, the team has expanded indexer functionality and replaced the supportive library that focuses on transactions with a more functional module.
We believe that it is just the beginning of a fruitful collaboration between First Bridge and Digibyte Alliance that will add to the growth of the adoption of Digibyte by a broad audience.
